Nurdin bin Ibrahim and Nurlina binti Ahmad perished in the tsunami of 26 December 2004. The appellants' claim in regards to the estate of the two deceased before the Banda Aceh Shari'a Court (lower court) had been dismissed in its entirety.
The Court concurred with the lower court, only noting that on page 67, paragraph 3 of the lower court's decision, it should have read that the the plaintiffs' claim failed because they had failed to correctly establish the relevant subjects.
