Indonesian Council of Ulama's Sixth National Deliberative Fatwa No. 2 of 2000 on the Usage of Human Organs, Placenta, and Urine for Medicinal and Cosmetic Purposes

This fatwa declares the usage of the following to be haram (forbidden), unless life-threatening circumstances prevail:
- medicine containing, or derived from, human organs;
- human urine in medical treatment; and
- cosmetics containing, or derived from, human organs.
